What Are the Real Back Pain Causes?

Back pain causes are almost always described by labeling the tissue thought to be causing the pain.

A herniated disc, a pinched nerve, a strained muscle, a trigger point, a facet or SI joint, etc. While this makes sense we are missing the bigger picture.

Figuring out what tissue is painful (disc, nerve, muscle, joint, etc.) and treating that tissue makes sense on the surface. The problem with this approach is we haven’t actually figured out the cause. Yes, you may have figured out what tissue is painful. The tissue that is painful is not the ultimate cause of your pain though.

Whatever made that tissue painful is the real cause.

Even if you have the right tissue and treat it effectively you have still not addressed what made that tissue painful.

For consistent, long-term lower back pain relief you have to step back and look at lower back pain from a broader perspective. This is almost never done, regardless of what type of specialist you see for your lower back pain.

If you figure out what is causing the tissues in your lower back to become painful you can address the root cause opposed to treating the symptom (painful tissue).

This approach is simple and effective. But seldom used.

Find out exactly how to figure out the real cause of your lower back pain.  Then address and correct what is CAUSING your lower back pain.  This will lead to consistent, lasting lower back pain relief.
